Hattusha, the capital of the Hittite Empire (1800-1200 BC), is a unique archaeological site in the world, as it is the center of a unique culture. The depictions on the vase, taken from a vase dated to 1600 Hittite old empire period. On the four friezes on the vase, various musicians and acrobat dancers of the reenacted holy marriage ceremony are depicted. The prominent instruments in the scenes are the lute, cymbal, and lyre. The Hittite Vase is made of handmade smoky green glass. All of the patterns on the vase are decorated by hand using gold, platinum and antiquated paints.
